Stacey Foutch

My name is Stacey Foutch. I live in Hendersonville with my husband, Chris, and our two children, Sydney and Anna Grace. Sydney is in eighth grade at Ellis Middle School. Anna Grace is three and goes to Jags Little Cubhouse.

I love teaching! This will be my first year at JAE, but my sixth year in Sumner County. I previously taught fourth grade at Lakeside Park Elementary. I have a masters degree in Elementary Education from Trevecca Nazarene University.

My children keep me very busy. I love spending time with my family. In my spare time I love to shop, read, swim, and hang out with family and friends.

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Kaci Mexic

My name is Kaci Mexic. I am 26 years old. This will be my 5th year to teach at JAE. I love to teach and love JAE. It is such a great school! I met my husband, Drew, in 2005 and we got married in July 2008. We have one "son," Vader, and one "daughter," Kajun. We adopted Vader from a wonderful couple who found him as a stray and we adopted Kajun from Clover for Rover Animal Rescue in Gallatin. They are our children! :)

Tidbits about me: I enjoy anything that uses technology. I have a weakness for Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and Gigi's Cupcakes. My favorite color is pink. Big dogs are, by far, my favorite animals on the planet.

I received my Bachelor degree from Tennessee State University in May 2006. My major was Interdisciplinary Studies and I am certified to teach K-8. I am highly qualified to teach K-5.

Carrol Pitts

Welcome to 4th grade!
My name is Carrol Pitts and I am entering my 28th year of teaching; obviously I love it! I am married to Bob Pitts and between us we have 18 grandchildren ranging in age from 37 to 1 year old. I have one son, Todd Batson, who lives in Hendersonville with his wife Lauren and their two children. My husband has six children and most of them live in Ohio. We lived in Florida for 12 years but decided to return to Hendersonville area two years ago to be near our families again.
My experience in education is far reaching. I was a Special Area teacher, Physical Education, for eleven years at Indian Lake. In Florida I taught in the classroom at Galaxy Middle School for 12 teachers teaching all subjects in 6th grade and 7th and 8th grade Reading. I am a graduate of UT Martin and earned my Masters Degree at Memphis State (now the University of Memphis). I am endorsed in the state of Florida for Reading and have met the "highly qualified" national requirements for teaching. I have 30 hours above my Masters Degree and I am also certified to teach Kindergarten!
My husband and I love to travel and have been in all 50 states including several National Parks. In 2006 we journeyed to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. My family heritage is in Norway and it was a wonderful experience to see my family's roots. In the summer of 2010 we are traveled to Seattle, Washington and Portland Oregon. We visited the town of Astoria, Oregon where Lewis and Clark ended their expedition. During Fall Break we hope to visit the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Nature Museum Center in St. Charles Missouri. It was here Lewis and Clark launched their westward voyage of discovery at St. Charles in 1804.
My philosophy on teaching is to teach the "whole child" by meeting their needs according to their learning styles. Students will also learn to be responsible and think independently.
Welcome to the 4th grade!
